Established by Robin Thomson, the inspiration to introduce Mercury Events arose though a desire to provide a professional, experienced Event Management service which was flexible and accessible enough to benefit any budget and any level of event.
Robin spent 3 years as an Event Coordinator for a National organisation, followed by 4 years working in Operations, Events and Banqueting Management in two 5 star venues, Robin has also been involved in projects across the UK, Europe and North America. He has also managed over 120 memorable weddings.
Working both as a client of venues and as an Event Manager within venues, Robin’s experience allows him to see things from a clients point of view whilst having knoweldge of how venues and suppliers operate. His experience has shown him that whilst organisations may have a need to host an event – whether it be a small corporate dinner, teambuilding day or a prestigious marketing event – they do not necessary have the personell or time to dedicate to such a project.
